Children & Youth
Crèche & SUNDAY CLUB
The Crèche and Sunday Club both take place on Sunday mornings, except when there is a Family Service. We start in church for the first ten minutes of the service, then leave for the main hall in the Parish Centre. The Crèche is for babies and young children and Sunday Club is for children aged four to ten. There is a natural and gradual transition from the Crèche to Sunday Club. The aims of Sunday Club are to share our faith, respect and value the spiritual lives of the children, build relationships and have fun, together with a drink and biscuits.
KIPPINGTON YOUTH GROUP (KYG)
Youth Group, for youngsters in Y6 and above, also meets on Sunday mornings in the Parish Centre with activities and teaching to support their Christian growth.
The Sunday Afternoon Youth Group was re-started in July 2023. We meet six times a year at present (each half term) on Sunday afternoons between 3.00-4.30pm. There are games and activities, a short God slot and time to be still, and food. Youngsters are encouraged to bring friends along and the recent meetings have proved popular.
For more details please look in the monthly Forward Move magazine or the weekly notice sheets.
Kippington Cat
The Kippington Cat came out of retirement during the last lockdown. A selection of the most recent issues are linked below. The magazine contains jokes, puzzles and things to do for young people.

SAFEGUARDING
St Mary’s takes safeguarding very seriously and the PCC have adopted the Church of England Safeguarding Handbook, promoting a safer Church. Safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of us all whether they are in the communities in which we live or part of our Christian family.
If you have a concern regarding a child, young person or adult who may be at risk of harm please speak to our Parish Safeguarding Officer, Wendy Pritchard, who can be contacted for all safeguarding matters on the email address safeguarding@stmaryssevenoaks.org, one of the clergy or our Church Wardens. If you or someone you are concerned about is in immediate danger, please telephone the police on 999 or one of the diocesan safeguarding advisers whose details are below:
